This is an Ejiko Kokeshi doll, by KOYAMA, Yoshimi who is a Togatta style kokesih craftsperson.
The flower above the black painting is a plum pattern. The black represents a branch of this flower. The angular branches and pale brown coloured wood make this ejiko koksehi look chic.

She was born in Niigata prefecture, which is next to the Tohoku region.
After graduating university and worked elsewhere, she was recruited by kokeshi craftspeople development project of Togatta in Miyagi prefecture in 2016. She became an apprentice of HIRAMA, Katsuji (1941-), she started making kokeshi dolls with her signature from 2019.

- Our Kokeshis are painted with water colors, so they can be easily damaged by water. Please use a dry cloth to clean it.
- Our kokeshi are made of wood, so please avoid exposure to direct sunlight or heat. Humidity may damage the kokeshi. Please avoid excess moisture. (especially direct air from the air conditioner damages to the kokeshi dolls.)
