No matter when we look at them, Hina kokeshi dolls are so cute.

Hina kokeshi dolls are a special decoration of ‘Hina matsuri’ on March 3rd in Japan. We enjoy Hina dolls and some specific food for the event like hina arare, chirashizushi, hishimochi and so on to celebrate the growth of girls.

It has been said that ‘if the family won’t put Hina dolls away quickly after Hina matsuri, the daughter’s marriage will be delayed’. But it is a superstition to encourage discipline. It means people wanted to keep looking at these adorable dolls for the whole year!
