This is a komori- babysitting ejiko kokeshi doll, by OHNUMA Hideaki who is a Naruko style kokeshi craftsman.

Originally, ejiko represents a baby in its cradle. It’s getting fun to imagine that this kokeshi is enjoying her cradle with a favorite kokeshi doll 😊

鳴子系こけし大沼秀顯工人の、赤ちゃんこけしと一緒にえじこを楽しんでいるかわいいこけしです。

He was born as the first son of OHNUMA Hideo (1930-2023) who was a Naruko style kokeshi craftsman.
He started learning woodwork from 1975 after graduating high school. He started selling his kokeshi dolls from 1984.

- Our kokeshi are made of wood, so please avoid exposure to direct sunlight or heat. Humidity may damage the kokeshi. Please avoid excess moisture. (especially direct air from the air conditioner damages to the kokeshi dolls.)
