This is a set of hina doll in an ejiko kokeshi, by HAYASAKA, Toshinari who is a Naruko style kokeshi craftsman.
The set was made from cherry blossom wood. Because the tree has a beautiful brown color, the traditional dolls have an elegant, classic look. He deliberately made the lantern parts like antique with a dull color.

He was born as the first son of HAYASAKA, Takashi (1925-2010) and Setsuko (1935-) both of them are Naruko style kokeshi craftsperson. From 1978, he started learning woodwork. He started making kokeshi dolls from 1980.
