This vintage kokeshi was made by SASAKI, Kakuhei(1933-2007) who was a Nanbu style kokeshi craftsman.
According to the previous owner’s note on the bottom of this doll, it was made around 1972, which is the 47th year of the Showa era.
There is a tree knot on the body.
The small items are not included in the product.

He was born as the third son of SASAKI, Yohatsuro (1886-1951) who was a woodworker and kokeshi craftsman.
He started learning woodwork under the guidance of his father while he was an elementary school student.
He worked at an ironworks factory and as a farmer and woodworker. He could make his kokeshi dolls during agricultural off season.
