This kokeshi and pottery was made by KANO Hiroshi who is a Sakunami style kokeshi craftsman.

The flower pattern on the lid is his family line’s flower-peach. The bright red and green lines on the edge of the lid are a traditional kokeshi color, which are used for the flower pattern as well. He is using only 3 colors for his kokeshi but it looks more shining decoration.

Note: This pot can be hand washed with water. The kokeshi lid is not water proof. It will be damaged by moisture easily. Please avoid water and when you clean it, use a dry cloth.

仙台市の作並系こけし加納博工人のこけし蓋の器です。鮮やかな桃の花が美しい一品です。

こけしの蓋はあまり水に強くはありません。できるだけ乾いた布でのお手入れをお願いします。（器は水洗い可能です）

He was born in 1954. He started learning woodwork and making kokeshi dolls from 1973. His master was his father Eiji Kanou(1929-2011). He is an in-house kokeshi craftsman at Aoba castle ruins in Sendai city.
