This is a daruma kokeshi, by OHNUMA Hideaki who is a Naruko style kokeshi craftsman.
Originally, kokeshi with Daruma style is made in Tsugaru. Because of the exchange styles and age, kokeshi craftsmen are trying to brush up their expression and skills.
It’s a nice thing to support their efforts, for our kokeshi collectors.

He was born as the first son of OHNUMA Hideo (1930-2023) who was a Naruko style kokeshi craftsman.
He started learning woodwork from 1975 after graduating high school. He started selling his kokeshi dolls from 1984. It is said that he is a cheerful person and enjoining introducing kokeshi dolls to various places energetically.

- Our Kokeshis are painted with water colors, so they can be easily damaged by water. Please use a dry cloth to clean it.
- Our kokeshi are made of wood, so please avoid exposure to direct sunlight or heat. Humidity may damage the kokeshi. Please avoid excess moisture. (especially direct air from the air conditioner damages to the kokeshi dolls.)
