This is an autumn leaves kokeshi doll, by ABO, Masafumi who is a Tsugaru style kokeshi craftsman.
The maple leaves, which are outlined in black give us the appearance they are dry. These dark red and dried leaves and the orange gradience are reminiscent of the late autumn evening. We feel a small sense of nostalgia from this cute kookeshi doll.
